Early Winchester carbine from 1942 SN 1032872 with bright excellent bore. barrel marked with W on top and WP oval proof. Correct blued flat bolt, correct squared S rear sight. This piece is all early Winchester with I cut high wood stock. Correct unmarked sling cut with neat armory repair on bottom cut. This piece has the dog head hammer and the early D marked trigger housing. All parts match the list as contained on page 149 of "The MI Carbine III" by J.C. Harrison. This piece was issued and used but has remained in its correct original configuration. FFL or C&R
