This No. 4 Mk1* has matching numbers on the bolt and under the fore stock. The butt has the long pull as marked with the letter "L" on top of the comb. Also marked under the grip and forestock with the "C Broad arrow" Canadian mark. The receiver is electric pencil marked with 'N.Z." over "18090" with the same mark on the bolt handle, stock socket and magazine bottom. A rifle built in Canada and acquired by New Zealand. bright, excellent bore with over 90% external metal finish and fine condition wood with light bruising . A fine example of a No 4 New Zealand issue rifle. This piece comes with a Long Branch bayonet and web. The bayonet is electric pencil marked NZ 14073. A great example of a WWII NZ issued Long Branch.
